Playoff “This Day” (5/19)

So today we decided to take a look at a day where the Stanley Cup was won. Indeed 37 years ago today, the Cup was won. It was quite an interesting game with a ton of defense, a well timed goal, and a goalie who is an absolute legend in the city of Brotherly Love. Yes now that we gave it away, it is time for the moment with a little video first.
May 19, 1974
Philadelphia became the first modern expansion team to win the Stanley Cup, beating Boston 1-0 in Game 6. Rick MacLeish scored the game’s only goal, while goalie Bernie Parent won the Conn Smythe Trophy with his second career playoff shutout.
