Boston Bruins: Road Warriors?

(Tim Thomas has led these ROAD WARRIORS)
Article by Pat Hoffman:
It would appear that way after the Boston Bruins shutout the Tampa Bay Lightning by a score of 2-0 in Game 2 to go up 2-1 in the series.
The Bruins are 5-1 on the road in these playoffs and they are 5-1 for two main reasons:
1) Good Goaltending: Bruins’ netminder Tim Thomas has been outstanding on the road in these playoffs. He was great in Game 2 against the Philadelphia Flyers when he made an outstounding 52 saves and in Game 3 against the Lightning, he made 31 saves en route to a shutout.
You need goaltending if you are going to win in the playoffs and right now, Thomas is providing that for the Bruins.
2) Not as Much Pressure: When your team is on the road, you are less apt to look for the perfect play and instead, keep things simple.
The Bruins have done that by allowing their goaltender to see the puck, not being afraid to throw pucks at the opposing goaltender and forechecking hard. On the road, the Bruins play the K.I.S.S. method and it works for them.
If the Bruins want to get to the Finals, they’ll need to keep up their great play on the road and judging by the way the team is playing right now, they should be in great shape.
