Today’s Lineup – Yankees vs Mariners (05/29/11)

by Colin MacNeil

After last night’s loss in extra-innings, the Yankees are on the verge of getting swept in this three-game series against the Mariners. New York has already been swept in a three-game series earlier this month at the hands of the Boston Red Sox.

On the mound and hoping to stop this two-game skid is Yankees Ace – C.C. Sabathia. His last outing was Tuesday night against the Toronto Blue Jays, where Sabathia pitched a complete game allowing four runs and eight hits and pounded the

strike zone, issuing one walk and using 103 pitches (77 strikes) to finish the game.

After today’s game, the Yankees will head south to Oakland and take on the Athletics for a three-game series which starts tomorrow afternoon at 4:05pm ET.
