Playoff “This Day” (6/3)


While enjoying a nice Friday and the NHL Scouting Combine probably way too much, there was indeed a moment today and several cramping up the old inbox.  This one gets a bit overshadowed in a sense by something that also happened earlier in this series but was a first indeed.  First will come the video and then the moment as always.  This promises to be a good one and not one where playing ball with your son will get you hurt.



June 03, 1993

Eric Desjardins became the 1st NHL defenseman to score a hat trick in the Stanley Cup Finals. His third goal of the game at :51 of OT gave Montreal a 3-2 win over the Kings in Game 2 of the Finals. It was the Canadiens 8th straight overtime win.
