Fantasy Hockey POTN (6/4)

WRITTEN BY CHRIS WASSEL | 04 JUNE 2011

Tonight if you are a Boston fan, you feel hurt double by the National Hockey League.  Yes Alex Burrows potentially should not have been playing but did anyone really expect that Burrows would figure in ALL three Vancouver goals tonight?  Honestly, we would not have but that is why they play the game.

It was not just that Burrows scored the first goal of the game or set up the tying goal in the third period but only eleven seconds into overtime, Alex Burrows beat Zdeno Chara and Tim Thomas on a wraparound which sent home the Vancouver faithful deliriously happy.

Vancouver is now up two games to none and though some will blame the league for not suspending Mr. Burrows, the bottom line is Boston let the guy that bit them once bite them again.  Some lessons are not learned and Boston has lived dangerously all postseason long with their play in the first and last minutes of periods.  Tonight it may have cost them their chance at a Stanley Cup.

In all, Alex Burrows had two goals and an assist tonight with several quality chances that he did not cash in on.  At the end of the night, he wins our Fantasy POTN and with that, hockey fans, next stop is Boston.  Here is a little more evidence.

And now video number 2…..
