Playoff “This Day” (6/8)


Well we found another fine moment in the inbox last night for today and this is one of those hairy moments on “This Day”.  Today’s little gem happened 12 years ago and well it was the beginning of one very strange series.

First will come the video and then the nugget of wisdom as always.  In the video below, today’s moment is #7.



June 08, 1999

Dominik Hasek stopped 35 shots and Jason Woolley scored the winning goal at 15:30 of overtime in the Sabres 3-2 win at Dallas, in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Wooley became the first Sabres defenseman to score a playoff OT goal.
