Pitching Matchups – Yankees vs Indians

The New York Yankees (50-32) are in Cleavland to take on the Indians (44-38). The last time they faced each other was back in June, at the Cathedral in the Bronx. The Bombers took 3 of 4 from the Tribe.

Phil Hughes is back in the Yankee rotation, after spending some time on the disable list with a “dead-arm”. Hughes has not pitched for the Yankees since April 14.

The Yankees optioned Ivan Nova to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday. Nova went 8-4 with a 4.12 ERA in 17 games (16 starts) with New York.
